By accessing or using CaptionLab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

CaptionLab reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Description of Service

CaptionLab is an automated subtitle generation platform. Users upload audio or video files, and the Service returns machine-generated subtitles in SRT/VTT format using AI transcription technology.

Credits and Payments

Access to transcription features requires credits, which are purchased as prepaid digital packs. Credits are non-refundable once consumed.

• Credits do not expire.
• All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized payment provider.
• Credit packs are standardized digital goods — no customization or 1:1 services are offered.
• In case of a failed transcription due to a platform error, credits will be restored.

User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. By using the Service, you represent that:

• You own or have the right to use the uploaded content.
• Your content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
• You will not use the Service for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the platform.

Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any content you upload. CaptionLab does not claim ownership over your files or generated subtitles.

The CaptionLab platform, brand, and codebase are the exclusive property of CaptionLab and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CaptionLab does not guarantee that transcriptions will be 100% accurate. AI-generated subtitles may contain errors, and users should review output before publishing.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptionLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

Termination

CaptionLab reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform's systems.
